New Dean named to College of Health Professions

South University is pleased to announce the appointment of Gina Scarboro, MMSc, CAA, as Dean of the College of Health Professions.  Dean Scarboro joined South University as an assistant professor in Anesthesia Science and became Program Director for the Anesthesiologist Assistant Program in 2009.  Dean Scarboro is passionate about Health Professions education and advocating on behalf of students and faculty.  She has served in a variety of professional service roles for the American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants and is a current member of the Physician Assistant Committee for the Georgia Composite Medical Board. At South University, Dean Scarboro provides leadership and guidance for curriculum development, assessment activities, strategic planning, and all aspects of programmatic accreditation. She works collaboratively with program faculty to ensure that the College’s academic policies and curricula are delivered appropriately.
