LeAnne Wilhite Named Director of Curriculum and Academic Success by College of Nursing

Dr. LeAnne Wilhite joined the College of Nursing curriculum team and serves as the Director of Curriculum and Academic Success. Previously, Dr. Wilhite served as the Director of Nursing at Andrew College in Cuthbert, Georgia and Dean of Nursing at Reinhardt University. Her leadership enhanced the learning experience for students. She led successful grant efforts, securing $350,000 for new simulators and supplies. Her commitment to superior programming and faculty excellence contributed to an outstanding 97% NCLEX pass rate.  

Dr. Wilhite began her academic journey at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, where she served in progressively responsible roles, starting as an Assistant Professor and later promoted to Associate Professor. As Associate Dean of the Undergraduate Nursing Program, LeAnne played a vital role in program development, accreditation, and strategic planning. LeAnne has a strong clinical background and worked as a Nurse Practitioner at multiple sites providing care in various urgent care settings. Her skill base is well-rounded.   

Throughout her career, Dr. Wilhite has consistently demonstrated a passion for nursing education, leadership, and clinical practice. Her commitment to excellence, coupled with a track record of achievements, positions her as a valuable asset to the healthcare and academic communities.  

Dr. Wilhite presently resides in TN with her husband Billy. She has two sons, Trey and Christian and two fur babies, Vader and Wren who bring her much joy. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and going to Disneyworld every chance she gets.
