South University, Austin faculty member Bhavani Madisetti-Vemireddy has been appointed as an expert advisor to the Texas Nurses Association’s (TNA) End of Life Policy Task Force.
In this role, Madisetti-Vemireddy will work to develop TNA’s policy position on End of Life issues. These policies will serve as guides for nurses in Texas dealing with end-of-life patient care. Madisetti-Vemireddy will also be called on to provide expert testimony for the Texas legislature when they draft legislation or take up issues regarding end-of-life and palliative care.
Madisetti-Vemireddy serves as the program director for the Criminal Justice and Healthcare Management programs at South University, Austin.
