South University is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Abby Kahaleh PhD, BPharm, MS, MPH, FAACP as Professor of Pharmacy and the Dean of the South University School of Pharmacy. Dr. Kahaleh will officially assume her role on October 16, 2023. Dr. Kahaleh brings with her a wealth of experience with over 20 years in Pharmacy Education, a reputable national and international profile, and a vision for the future of pharmacy education.

Dr. Kahaleh earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Masters in Pharmaceuticals Sciences from the University of Toledo. She subsequently obtained a Masters in Health Management and Policy and a Doctorate in Social and Administrative Sciences from the University of Michigan. Dr. Kahaleh has delivered over 100 presentations at state, national, and international conferences. She has also held multiple leadership positions in academic and in state and national Pharmacy organizations. Her dedication to academic excellence and commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment makes her a uniquely qualified candidate to lead the School of Pharmacy.
