College of Theology Granted Honor Society Chapter

South University’s College of Theology has been granted a chapter in Theta Alpha Kappa, the National Honor Society for Religious Studies and Theology.

Established in 1976, Theta Alpha Kappa is the only national honor society that specifically recognizes the academic excellence of theological and religious studies students at both the baccalaureate and post-graduate level. There are more than 250 chapters around the United States. South University’s chapter is the Alpha Nu Delta chapter of Theta Alpha Kappa.

In order to be eligible for membership, South University College of Theology students must have completed a certain number of academic hours and specific courses while maintaining a GPA of 3.5. Membership is open to all South University College of Theology campus and online students who meet the requirements.

The College plans to hold its first Theta Alpha Kappa inductions this spring.
