Graduate Students Attend Pediatrics Conference

2057

A group of South University graduate-level nursing students recently attended a conference focusing on pediatric healthcare.

The South University, Austin Master of Science in Nursing with a Specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner program students attended the conference in San Antonio, Texas. The “Not-so-Scary Kid Conference” was sponsored by the Baptist Health system and focused on topics that included head trauma, migraines, seizures, sleep disorders, ENT issues, autism, phobias and learning disabilities.

The conference topics aligned with the clinical objectives of the students’ pediatrics practicum, and gave them the opportunity to hear experts in the field discuss best practices for management and treatment of pediatric patients.
