South University is pleased to announce Dr. Ken Zirkle will join South University as the Campus President – Columbia on February 9th. Dr. Zirkle brings extensive successful experience in higher education to South University with a professional emphasis in campus leadership.
Ken’s experience as President spans several institutions. He served the University of Findlay for twenty years as University President. In addition, Ken served as president at Ancilla College, Post University and Becker College. He began his academic career in student affairs.
Dr. Zirkle earned a Doctorate in Education in Counselor Education and College Student Personnel from The Pennsylvania State University, a M.Ed. in Counselor Education and College Student Personnel from Rutgers University, and a B.S. in Geography from Edinboro State College.
We also want thank Dr. April Taylor for her months of service as interim President at the Columbia campus. Dean Taylor will return full-time to an expanded role as system-wide Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Business.
Our South University leadership team has put together a rigorous on-boarding process to bring Dr. Zirkle up to speed as quickly as possible for both our campus and university priorities to effectively support the Columbia team.
