South University Launches ISACA Student Group

South University, Tampa recently launched an ISACA Student Group. ISACA is an organization devoted to promoting the positive use and development of information technology.

ISACA says it supports more than 450,000 technology professionals around the world while promoting “innovation through technology.”

The South University ISACA student group will receive guidance and support from the professional organization as they promote the work of the information technology sector and its employees. The students will have the opportunity to hold office and may be able to participate in activities sponsored by the local, professional ISACA chapter. South University, Tampa offers both a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and a Master of Science in Information Systems.

South University, Tampa faculty member Angelo Thalassinidis, Ph.D., will serve as the Student Group’s Academic Advocate. Thalassinidis is the chair of South University’s Department of Information Systems and Technology.
