Dr. Sperlazza-Anthony appointed Program Director for Master of Science in Nursing

South University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Darlene Sperlazza-Anthony, DNP, MSN, BSN, RN, FNP-BC, as Program Director for the Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP) program. Prior to her new role, Dr. Sperlazza-Anthony joined South University in 2012, serving as adjunct faculty member in the MSN-FNP online program. From there, she went on to become a full-time faculty member and transitioned in the role of Assistant Program Director, then Associate Program Director. Finally, in 2019, she was appointed interim Program Director for the MSN-FNP online program. Dr. Sperlazza-Anthony received a BSN and MSN from Wheeling Jesuit University and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama. Her research focuses mainly on Spirituality in Nursing Practice. In addition to her role at South University, she has practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner for fourteen years. She serves on the Board of Directors at HealthWays, Inc. and is a member of multiple organizations. Dr. Sperlazza-Anthony was selected as a member of Women of Distinction in 2016. Dr. Sperlazza-Anthony is excited to be part of a team dedicated to helping students change their lives through education. Dr. Sperlazza-Anthony is committed to develop students into holistic, compassionate, professional nurse practitioners.
