Dr. Sperlazza-Anthony appointed new Assistant Dean for Graduate Nursing

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Darlene Sperlazza-Anthony has accepted the position of Assistant Dean for Graduate Nursing at the University. She previously served South as MSN-FNP Program Director and prior to that taught for eight years in the MSN-FNP program as a full-time online faculty member. She has also taught as adjunct faculty at Chamberlain University, Penn State University, Wheeling Jesuit University, and West Virginia Northern Community College. Dr. Sperlazza-Anthony also spent 20 years in hospital nursing in managerial and leadership positions including as Director of Nursing Operations at Weirton Medical Center (WV). Dr. Sperlazza-Anthony, a registered nurse for 39 years, has earned BSN, MSN and DNP degrees, and is a Family Nurse Practitioner with practice areas in internal medicine and cardiology and an area of interest in addiction medicine. Additionally, Dr. Sperlazza-Anthony was a contributor for the 2018 textbook, Davis Advantage for Basic Nursing: Thinking, doing and Caring.
