South University, Virginia Beach#BSN students from Cohort 27 recently participated in a meaningful community service event at the Thai Temple.
In collaboration with the Philippine Nurses Association and The Lions Club of Hampton Roads, our students provided blood pressure and diabetes screenings, offered patient education on disease prevention and healthy lifestyles, and assisted with vision and hearing assessments.
This hands-on experience not only supported community wellness, but also fostered professional growth, strengthened cultural competence, and deepened the connection between our nursing program and the community we serve.
