🌶️ South University, Savannah Anesthesiologist Assistant Students Transform Global Anesthesia Safety with a Fundraiser! 🌶️

#Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA) students from #SouthUniversity, Savannah hosted their 10th annual Chili Cook Off for the Lifebox Foundation! South University has championed Lifebox since their founding in 2011. As a part of the AA department’s ongoing commitment, they developed the Chili Cook Off for Lifebox – an annual event that brings the community together to spread awareness of and raise critical funds for the gaps facing anesthesia providers around the world.

This year’s event was a tremendous success, raising over $15,000! These funds will support the distribution of Smile Train-Lifebox Capnographs and Lifebox Pulse Oximeters to providers in need around the world, impacting countless patient lives.

We are incredibly grateful for the students’ dedication, energy, and hard work that made this amazing achievement possible, as well as their faculty and staff mentors and participants.

Inspired by South University’s ongoing success, the Anesthesiologist Assistant Chili Cook Off for Lifebox has become a peer-to-peer fundraising challenge, now joined by programs at Emory, Indiana University, NEOMED, Ohio Dominican, and Case Western Reserve.

Together, we’re making surgery safer—one bowl of chili at a time. 🧡
