The South University, Richmond Physician Assistant (PA) Class of 2027 had a fantastic learning experience on Thursday, Jan 29, exploring political advocacy and the legislative process at the Virginia General Assembly.
A huge thank you to the Virginia Academy of PAs (VAPA) and the Medical Society of Virginia (MSV) for providing such a meaningful and engaging educational experience. Our students learned about the role of political advocacy, reviewed current bills impacting clinicians, and had the opportunity to observe a committee meeting in action.
It was truly inspiring to see policy discussions and potential change happening in real time! We’re excited to once again participate in PA Lobby Advocacy Days, and proud to support this important advocacy work year after year! 💙
