Elonee Mosby is a master’s in public health student at South University, Savannah and is about to graduate! During her time at #SouthUniversity, Elonee was a student worker that reported to United Way as part of our off-campus partnership program. Her work has focused on updating and verifying detailed information in the agency database, which supports the 211-referral system. “It’s been incredibly rewarding to know this work directly helps individuals and families access vital resources. The work environment at United Way has also been one of the most positive and supportive I’ve experienced—extremely healthy and encouraging, with immense flexibility and understanding when it comes to changes in my schedule.” After she graduates, Elonee hopes to work on improving maternal and child health outcomes, particularly in underserved communities. She is passionate about health education, policy development, and epidemiological research. She also wants to stay connected to grassroots and community-based work, ensuring that the populations most in need have a voice and access to essential services.
