Last month we celebrated National Women Physicians Day with the following:
We’re proud to celebrate #NationalWomenPhysiciansDay by spotlighting a woman who leads with both expertise and heart, Micah Riegner, M.D., FAAP, Medical Director of the Physician Assistant Program at South University, Savannah.
Dr. Riegner serves as Medical Director, Preceptor, and Instructor, leading much of the program’s pediatric-focused education. With a heart deeply rooted in caring for children and families, the majority of her career has been dedicated to pediatric medicine. That passion extends beyond the clinic, she actively pours into child and student ministries through her church and supports local foster and adoptive agencies within the community.
Her love for children naturally evolved into a love for teaching and education, guiding her path into academics and the training of future healthcare professionals. At South University, Dr. Riegner is part of a collaborative team that operates like family, one built on humility, respect, and a shared mission to develop not only highly skilled clinicians, but compassionate, high-quality humans.
🧡 “I truly enjoy every day on the job.” 💙
Today, we celebrate Dr. Riegner and the women physicians who continue to open doors, shape futures, and lead the next generation of healthcare professionals.
