This past quarter, our Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) focuses on Positive Relationships, the supportive connections with peers, faculty, mentors, and community that help students build academic resilience and confidently navigate challenges.
In our newest reel, meet Kadeena McDonald, South University, Austin alumna (Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, ’23). As a wife, mother, and returning student, she once worried she might be “too old” or not fit in. What she discovered instead was the power of connection, a community that encouraged, supported, and uplifted her every step of the way. 🧡
From joining student groups and mentoring programs, to seeking tutoring, practicing communication skills, and building trust, positive relationships played a key role in her success.
