The conference provided an opportunity for higher education professionals to explore the latest trends in student success, connect with peers, and exchange ideas centered on creating a student-focused educational experience. Attendees participated in interactive workshops, speaker sessions, and networking events throughout the day.

The team also had the privilege of meeting and hearing presentations from Dr. Vincent Tinto, Distinguished University Professor of Sociology at Syracuse University’s School of Education. Dr. Tinto is a leading theorist in the field of higher education, widely recognized for his research on student retention and learning communities.

South University’s own Greg Owens was featured as a presenter during the session, “Listening at a Distance: Supporting Online Learners with EdSights.” His presentation highlighted the innovative ways South University leverages technology to strengthen student connections and enhance support for online learners.
