Members of South University, Tampa’s Student Nursing Association recently volunteered at the Moffitt Cancer Center’s 2017 Men’s Health Forum.

The students performed blood pressure and Body Mass Index (BMI) screenings for nearly 400 participants. The students also had the opportunity to meet Major League Baseball All Star and World Series champion Ken Griffey, Sr. who was on hand at the event as an advocate of cancer screenings.

The Men’s Health Forum is an annual event where health care and community organizations partner with churches and businesses to provide health screenings and services to men who are uninsured, underinsured, or do not have a regular health care provider.
