College of Arts and Sciences announces new Dean.

South University is pleased to announce the appointment of April Taylor as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at South University. Dean Taylor joined South University as an adjunct faculty member in 2010 in the Criminal Justice and Legal Studies Departments. In 2013, she became a full time Program Director for the Legal Studies campus-based programs for South University, Columbia. Dean Taylor became the campus-based Legal Studies Chair in 2017, and was appointed as Interim Dean for the College of Arts and Sciences in February 2019.  Dean Taylor holds a law degree and is licensed to practice law in the state of South Carolina. She also has a doctorate in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. Dean Taylor came to higher education from being an Assistant Attorney General working in the Prosecution Department of the South Carolina Attorney General’s office. At South University, Dean Taylor provides leadership and guidance for curriculum development, assessment activities, strategic planning, and all aspects of programmatic accreditation. She works collaboratively with the campuses and online faculty to ensure that the College’s academic policies and curricula are being delivered appropriately.
