Three South University College of Theology program directors recently presented at the 2017 annual meeting of the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS).

Douglas Estes, Ph.D., of South University, Columbia presented “Sharing in the Tree of Life: Identity and Space in the Revelation of John.” The paper focused on the Tree of Life in the Book of Revelation. Carl B. Smith II, Ph.D., of South University, Savannah presented a paper entitled “The Tree of Life in Gnostic Literature.” The material in both of these presentations highlighted preliminary findings which will be more fully developed in a forthcoming book on the Tree of Life to be published by Brill and edited by Dr. Estes.

Micah Meek, Ph.D., of South University, Montgomery presented the paper “The Development of the Concept of the Conscience from Luther to Anglican Puritanism,” which focused on the idea of the conscience in theological ideas from Martin Luther to the 16th-17th century Anglican Puritans.
