| Criminal Justice Program Director on Public TV |
Montgomery - On July 8, 2008, Roger Humber, Director of Montgomery’s Campus Criminal Justice program, assisted Alabama’s Workforce Training Institute by participating in an interview on the weekly television show “On The Job.”
“On The Job” showcases Alabama companies and educational opportunities. The show provides an outlet designed to reach the unemployed and underemployed citizen, giving them the chance to see the types of jobs available and the skill sets required to master these jobs and enhance their opportunities.
Mr. Humber’s interview focused on the effects of drugs on employment. He discussed the current trends in drug arrests and statistics regarding the costs of enforcement. He also shared some promising ideas and programs relating to the prevention and treatment of drug addiction. The interview was conducted at the university, which provided a special opportunity to showcase the campus by participating in a state-wide broadcast. The show airs on Sunday afternoons at 2:30 on Alabama Public Television (APT).
