| Week-long event makes Business personal for students |
SU - Montgomery (Winter 2009) South University’s Montgomery campus hosted a week-long event called Business Week, to promote the campus’ Business Programs. The theme for the event, which began on Monday, March 9th, was “Relaxing is Everybody’s Business.” The focus was educating students, faculty, and staff on how relaxing can make them more productive in their lives, whether they are at work or at school.
The week also included recognition for Business Administration Program Director, Dan McDonald, who is retiring on March 28 after 12 years of teaching at South University. He received several gifts from the faculty, students, and staff who gathered to share cake and wish him well.
Students learned how yoga and other meditative techniques: aromatherapy; massage therapy; and the observation of daily, mini-vacations, such as gourmet coffee breaks, manicures, and nature walks can improve their well being and increase their productivity.
Yoga: Dr. Kalai Mugilan, Program Director of Healthcare Management, instructs students, faculty, and staff on the benefits and techniques of yoga.
